Mr. DeWitt is a Principal with VHB, an east coast based transportation, land development, and environmental services consulting firm, where he leads the firm’s Mid-Atlantic Bicycle and Pedestrian Practice. Prior to joining VHB, he served as Senior Comprehensive Planner for Gloucester County, Virginia.
His 24 year career has focused on the planning, design, and construction of multi-modal transportation enhancements. Specializing in capital programming, construction phasing, and project funding, Mr. DeWitt has contributed to the implementation of public amenities in throughout Virginia and northeast North Carolina.
Mr. DeWitt holds a Bachelor of City Planning degree from the University of Virginia. He is a former member of the APA Virginia Chapter Legislative Committee, and former President of the Active Williamsburg Alliance. He was part of a team that received a 2005 Award of Excellence in Building Development and Improvements from the Virginia Downtown Development Association for redevelopment work in the Town of West Point.
