Project Management for Planners

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Effective leaders know how to turn an idea into action and get stuff done. Attendees of this session will practice formulating, executing, and evaluating a project. Skills gained here can be taken home and applied immediately to the work of implementing your comprehensive plan.

The Hands-On Leadership Development opportunity consists of a series of four (4) concurrent sessions. Each session is designed to provide an advanced learning opportunity to planning commissioners and emerging planning professionals alike. The sessions will cover skills related to enhancing attendees capacity as a community leader. Attend these sessions and you'll better understand public finance and budgeting, contracting and procurement, project management, and team-building for effective governance. Attend all sessions and receive a certificate of completion; useful for demonstrating your commitment to excellence in governance and planning administration.
