Laurel McGinley has 18 years of professional experience in program management, emergency management, and geotechnical and environmental engineering. Currently Ms. McGinley leads the engineering group within Dewberry’s Coastal and Resilience Consulting branch. As such, she oversees the development of a number of hazard mitigation and resilience projects, to include risk and vulnerability assessments, project scoping, benefit-cost analysis, and report development for local, state, federal, and quasi-governmental clients. She has applied her field and management experience to write several handbooks on topics related to emergency management and to coordinate development of tools that help practitioners better prepare for and become more resilient from natural hazard events.
